Prehistoric Peoples of Maine
Step back to the time before settlers walked the
lands of Maine. Use all of the skills you have developed as
researchers to tell how the people that first walked our woods and swam
our waters lived their lives. You are looking for information
about food, shelter, clothing, ceremonies and other necessary means of
survival.
The Wabanaki people, Penobscot, the Micmac, the
Maliseet and the Passamaquoddy living in Maine today are the
descendants of the Native People who inhabited this area in prehistoric
times.
